Pecan Street Christian School's Transitional Kindergarten provides a faith-based educational program that instills a love of learning and prepares students for academic, social and emotional success in Kindergarten and beyond. Our small class size allows us to give your child a more individualized start to school.

We believe in encouraging and educating children in a safe, nurturing environment. Our goal is to foster your child's physical, social, emotional, cognitive, language and spiritual development in an atmosphere of loving care and guidance. Children will learn through active exploration and interaction with teachers, other children and an environment rich in discovery opportunities.

Students build their skills through whole group & small group experiences as well as individual/paired center learning. There will be many opportunities to explore, create, learn and understand through fun play-based activities. Bible stories are incorporated into each unit of study. We offer weekly Spanish, Chapel and Music enrichment sessions.

Key areas of content include English language arts, mathematics, science, the arts, health and social studies. All are integrated throughout the school day with an emphasis on developmentally appropriate practices and the whole child.
